The 2019 vintage saw an unusually dry summer and early autumn, coupled with the cool nighttime temperatures allowed the vines to produce fruit with exceptional character and flavour while being harvested at lower degrees of sugar ripeness, producing vibrant, balanced, lower-alcohol styles.
A classic Barossa Chardonnay with powerful aromas of peaches and cream, accented by sweet and aromatic spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and cardamom. Ripe tropical fruits such as pineapple and mango coupled with the sweet scents of fresh brioche and croissants, and a hint of double cream and fresh cultured butter.
This Barossa Chardonnay is smooth, silky and rich. It has a complex texture and nice fruit sweetness, and a finish that's lively and crisp. It is the perfect match for a Mediterranean fare – tomato-based pasta dishes, pizza, cassoulet or paella.
