This single-grain whiskey is aged in virgin Spanish oak, a combination that provides a taste of gentle wood spice playing off the natural sweetness of the grain, fresh peeled grapefruit, sweet cereal notes and clove on the finish.
From the Distillery
This release asked the question: What if we take a step away from the familiar with a Single Grain whiskey aged in Virgin Spanish Oak. Without giving too much away, the two made very good partners, with a taste of gentle wood spice playing off the natural sweetness of the grain.
Method and Madness produces an innovative range of small batch whiskies by masters and apprentices, with a measure of curiosity and intrigue (The Madness), while honouring the tradition and expertise grounded in the experience at the Midleton Distillery (The Method).
