What the Experts Say

From the Gullyview Vineyard. I like the texture of these Atlas Rieslings. It’s a highlight, and marks them out as being slightly different.

Lime and lemongrass, slight fennel and spice perfume, subtle funky/smoky character too. It’s juicy and has a fine chalky and lemon pith texture, a slight quinine bitterness, plenty of crunch and interest, and a good long finish. I like it.

93/100 - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front

Our Notes

It’s hard to go wrong with a Watervale Riesling, and this particularly classy example advances the classic style with notes of preserved lime and plenty of hibiscus to the white-floral perfume typical of this type of wine. Sip this slowly - there’s plenty to discover.

Winemakers Comments

The wine reflects its provenance and the unique house style of Atlas Wines. It’s bright and fresh with classic Watervale aromas of lime and lemongrass, complemented by hints of white flowers, juniper and candied apples. The palate is packed with ripe, concentrated flavours of lemon and lime juice, Granny Smith apple and floral bath salts, with a powerful line of fine acidity giving great structure and length.

19 crimes wines

I have found 19 crimes wines to be exceptional wines. Especially the Savignon Block and Cali Rose. I have only recently started drinking these wines but feel they are different than most other brands Ihave tried. I will be buying only these 2 wines in the near future.
