A Lion's family is referred to technically as his "Pride", and generally comprises several females, numerous cubs, and sometimes other males. The Leogate Estate Lion, being the ancient symbol of the Lion Rampant, has an extensive pride, symbolically represented by its three vineyards and a wide array of wine grape varietals as well as blends.
About the Winemaker
Fairly new to the Hunter Valley scene, the Leogate operation began in 2009 and has been a critical and commercial success from the start. Production focuses on careful traditional approaches and on favourite Hunter varietals including Semillon and Shiraz over several vineyards, with some plantings of such underrated grapes as Gerwürztraminer and Tempranillo.Your order is dispatched within 1-5 days from our Sydney warehouse.
