Fuller than you might expect, with a good dose of navel orange, and less zippy or zesty than juicy and bursting, this is a Sav Blanc even detractors of the style can love.
Grapes entirely from the recently-established Mt Benson subregion of the Limestone Coast, more passionfruit than gooseberry on the palate, and apparently Wangolina’s most popular drop - not hard to understand why!
Passionfruit, grassy aromas, lime, gooseberry - this wine has it all going on. The nose is powerful and intense, but the palate is clean, crisp and deceptively dry. Consistently produced and grown in the Mt Benson region within the Limestone coast, our Sauvignon Blanc is our most awarded wine and a style we are immensely proud of. Perfect with fresh oysters and shell-on prawns.
About the Winery
Wangolina head Anita Goode serves dual duty as head winemaker and farmer for a 700-acre cattle operation, but is evidently a pretty talented multitasker; she oversees a catalogue full of surprising drops characterised by a joyous disregard for tradition and a well-developed sense of oenological whimsy
