Our Notes

This juicy pale-golden “Sashiko” chardonnay has abundant citrus notes which fold into stone fruit and melon.

White peach, apricot kernels and melon lead on the palate with a punch of citrus finishing crisply with clean acidity and just a hint of honeydew.

About the Winemaker

Sew and Sew believe that the vineyards create their own patterns; whether it be from sun, water, soil structure or insect behaviour. Predicting and embracing these patterns allows for the creation of high-quality balanced fruit.

Sew & Sew plant the vines, grow the grapes and make the wines – gently nurturing the very first bud to the bottled wine. Sew & Sew is a partnership between friends who strive to create beautiful handcrafted products made with passion.

Sav Blanc?

Has all the characteristics of a Riesling! Minerals, dry and acidic.
Needs to be drunk at room temperature to appreciate the citrus notes at the end. Don't drink it too cold.

Very satisfying

Purchased based upon it's win in Germany. It's a wonderful sauv blanc for an afternoon with a few dips and friends. Not a patch on Cloudy Bay, equals Dog Point and Craggy Range, better than Phillip Shaw or Shaw&Smith. I'll buy again as it's great to have an Australian Sauv blanc in the house not ruined by the addition of semillion.
